Meet our visionaries

Jackie Palmer

President + Co-Founder

Like many, Jackie began her oilfield career as a mud logger. As one of the first onsite steerers, she founded her first Geosteering Center in 2010.

Over the next few years, she opened two more on-site Centers in Houston and Pittsburgh. From there, she served as an Operations Geologist for Penn Virginia Oil’s Eagle Ford drilling program. In the ensuing years, she founded GeoVision and partnered with Ernie at DataLog.

Jackie holds a Bachelor of Science in Geology from the University of Florida. When not spending time vacationing in Moab with her husband and two dogs, she is actively involved in AAPG and the Houston Geological Society.

Ernest Fuhrmann

President + Co-Founder

An experienced oilfield veteran, Ernie started his career while in college, logging offshore in the Gulf of Mexico. Upon graduation, he shifted into sales.

Known for telling it like it is, Ernie worked his way up to the role of vice president. In 2015, he joined forces with Jackie and co-founded GeoVision. A year later, he founded DataLog.

A graduate of Sam Houston State University in Business Administration, Ernest is a member of the West Texas and Houston Geological Societies. He resides in Houston with his wife, Nicole, and their two daughters.

Sr. Geologist

Sean Palmer is an accomplished Geosteering Geologist with over a decade of expertise. His primary focus lies in optimizing drilling efficiency through cutting-edge machine learning models and data analysis, specifically in log density, permeability, and porosity. Notably, Sean's dedication and prowess in the field were recognized when he achieved the prestigious title of the 2022 Geosteering World Cup Champion. Apart from his professional accomplishments, Sean's commitment to exceptional customer service and adeptness in account management make him an invaluable asset to our team. When not revolutionizing geosteering, he cherishes quality time with his wife and 2 dogs between Houston and Moab, and is always soliciting sponsors to launch his Ford Bronco racing career.

Sales Manager

Ryan started his oilfield career as an MWD in 2008. He transitioned into mud logging with roles in areas ranging from sales to operations management. All told, Ryan has over 20 years of experience in customer service and account management. A U.S. Army veteran, he co-chairs the Social Function Committee of the Oklahoma City Geological Society board of directors. A lover of the outdoors, he lives in the Oklahoma City area with his wife, Tabitha, and two sons.

Sales

Devi Theriot Fuhrmann brings a wealth of industry knowledge and experience to her role on DataLog's sales team, having transitioned from a successful career in Louisiana real estate to the petroleum industry. With a Bachelor's degree in Marketing from Southeastern Louisiana University and a Master's degree in Educational Leadership from the American College of Education, Devi is a skilled and knowledgeable sales professional. Devi continues her family's legacy in oil and gas with pride. She enjoys spending time with her husband and two children.

Sales

Kristen started her oilfield career here at DataLog. She has a Bachelor of Science in Geology from University of Texas – San Antonio where she was active in the UTSA Student Geological Society and Alpha Sigma Alpha sorority. Based in Houston, she is a member of the Houston Geological Society, AAPG, and STGS. Having visited five continents, she is extensively well-traveled.

Sales

Elliot began his career in the offshore deepwater Gulf of Mexico as a mud logging for GeoServices after receiving a double major in Geology and Chemistry from Stephen F. Austin State University. After three years of rig site work, he transitioned into a management role as a product line development manager while supporting their real-time data management product. Elliot then moved into sales and business development roles at Core Lab, spending fifteen years holding various positions across three different business units within the company, demonstrating his versatility and expertise in the industry. A sports enthusiast, he lives in Houston where he meet his wife, Danielle, and they have two children.

Geosteering Manager

Doug Rozas is a skilled geosteering manager with over 18 years of experience in the petroleum industry. He received his Bachelors in Petroleum Geology and Masters in Geophysics from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. Doug's extensive background includes working as a Development Geophysicist and Geologist for El Paso/EP Energy and Southwestern Energy before joining GeoVision in 2019. Originally from Louisiana, Doug is a dedicated family man and enjoys spending time with his wife, four children, and two grandchildren. His expertise in geosteering and geology continues to drive GeoVision's success.
