Meet our visionaries

Jackie Palmer

President + Co-Founder

Like many, Jackie began her oilfield career as a mud logger. As one of the first onsite steerers, she founded her first Geosteering Center in 2010.

Over the next few years, she opened two more on-site Centers in Houston and Pittsburgh. From there, she served as an Operations Geologist for Penn Virginia Oil’s Eagle Ford drilling program. In the ensuing years, she founded GeoVision and partnered with Ernie at DataLog.

Jackie holds a Bachelor of Science in Geology from the University of Florida. When not spending time vacationing in Moab with her husband and two dogs, she is actively involved in AAPG and the Houston Geological Society.

Ernest Fuhrmann

President + Co-Founder

An experienced oilfield veteran, Ernie started his career while in college, logging offshore in the Gulf of Mexico. Upon graduation, he shifted into sales.

Known for telling it like it is, Ernie worked his way up to the role of vice president. In 2015, he joined forces with Jackie and co-founded GeoVision. A year later, he founded DataLog.

A graduate of Sam Houston State University in Business Administration, Ernest is a member of the West Texas and Houston Geological Societies. He resides in Houston with his wife, Nicole, and their two daughters.
